WHAT IS A GRAPHITE ELECTRODE

Graphite electrode is a kind of high temperature resistant graphite conductive material made of petroleum coke, asphalt coke as aggregate, coal asphalt as binder, through raw material calcination, crushing, blending, molding, roasting, impregnation, graphitization and mechanical processing, called artificial graphite electrode (referred to as graphite electrode), which is different from natural graphite electrode prepared by natural graphite as raw material.

Graphite electrode is mainly used as conductive electrode material in electric arc steelmaking furnace. The graphite electrode produced by Hebei Hexi Carbon Co., Ltd. has very high thermal and electrical conductivity, low expansion coefficient, high melting point and chemical stability, and is not corrode by other acids, bases and salts, and has excellent thermal shock resistance.
